Jaylon Johnson
In recent seasons, the Chiefs have been enamored with drafting the best athlete available on both sides of the ball. There’s no reason to believe that Kansas City won’t do the same in this year’s draft, especially after that formula resulted in a Super Bowl in 2019.
Even though he hasn’t been mentioned much among the cornerbacks, Jaylon Johnson could be in play for the Chiefs. Johnson, who underwent surgery on a torn labrum after the NFL Combine, is a supreme athlete that can mirror receivers phenomenally down the field.
Coming out of Utah, Johnson was a three-year starter, amassing 21 pass breakups and seven interceptions. While it would be a surprising move, Johnson could be headed to the Chiefs with the No. 32 pick. Or if Kansas City wants to move back to early in the second round, Johnson could still be available for them to select.
