1. Aaron Rodgers Might Just Be An MVP Candidate Again
The most important thing to take away from this Week 1 game was the performance that Aaron Rodgers put on. Everyone knew coming into this matchup that Rodgers was going to have a chip on his shoulder. That showed with a vintage performance.
Rodgers completed 32 of his 44 passing attempts for 364 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. Those numbers are MVP numbers.
Granted, we will have to see Rodgers consistently put up these kind of numbers to truly count him as an MVP candidate. However, it’s a very good sign for the Packers.
All offseason long, the talk in Green Bay was what the Packers should expect from Rodgers. The national media expected a down season. Rodgers is having none of that talk and his first game of the season was impressive, to say the least.
