3 offensive line options for the Rams at No. 52 in the NFL Draft

Matt Hennessy (IOL, Temple)

If the Rams are unable to land Jackson from Ohio State or if they prefer someone else, Matt Hennessy might be another feasible option for the Rams. Throughout his collegiate career at Temple, Hennessy’s work ethic was unmatched.

Additionally, Hennessy’s mobility and football IQ are two things that stand out when watching him play. Similar to Jackson, Hennessy has the ability to play center or guard, with him starting at center in his final three seasons at Temple.

Whether the Rams select Hennessy or not could give an indication of how comfortable they feel with Brian Allen at center, with Hennessy best suited playing center at the next level. Regardless, if Los Angeles likes Allen, then Hennessy is capable of sliding to guard.

Even more so than Jackson, Hennessy fits McVay’s zone-blocking scheme to a T. The Rams would have a tough time finding a better offensive lineman at No. 52 than Hennessy.
