Terrell Lewis
For quite some time, the Jets have failed to feature an edge rusher in their defense that could consistently get to the quarterback. As a matter of fact, the last edge defender to record 10 sacks in a single season for New York was Calvin Pace in 2013.
With that in mind, the Jets could definitely use an edge rusher in free agency or through the draft. If he’s still available when New York is on the clock at No. 48, then Terrell Lewis could be a player on their radar.
While injuries prevented him from playing in 2017 and 2018, Lewis put together a decent campaign in 2019 at Alabama, compiling six sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss. Even though he’s a developmental project, Lewis has the tools to become what the Jets have been missing on defense for years.
