3 players who must take the next step for the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Trayvon Mullen, Cornerback

Another rookie that will be heading into his second NFL season for the Raiders is cornerback Trayvon Mullen. He was drafted with the No. 40 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and has big-time potential. Now, Las Vegas needs him to show more of his talent.

In his first season with the Raiders, Mullen racked up 50 total tackles to go along with an interception and 10 defended passes. Those numbers show a glimpse of what Mullen could bring to Las Vegas in the future.

Las Vegas needs a true No. 1 cornerback who can cover the top wideouts in the game. Mullen may not be there quite yet, but he certainly could become that. If he can take that step in 2020, the Raiders could be a potential playoff contender.
