3 questions for the LA Rams following the release of Todd Gurley

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

What’s next at running back?

The current landscape of the running back position is quite underwhelming for the Rams with Todd Gurley out of the picture. They now have Malcolm Brown, Darrell Henderson, and John Kelly to worth with unless they make another addition.

Even if the Rams were to try to use free agency as a way to address the running back spot, it’s important to note that the remaining options are quite underwhelming. They will almost certainly need to use the NFL Draft if they seek to add another talent into the mix.

Expecting a rookie to be able to step in and make an immediate impact would be a troubling outcome for the Rams, too. It would be a move geared towards the future above all else, meaning an on-roster option would need to step up in the short-term.
