This Draft Class is Loaded With QB Talent
Fortunately for Indy, there are a handful of promising quarterback prospects entering the draft this year. Many pundits believe LSU quarterback Joe Burrow will go first overall to the Cincinnati Bengals, but after him, anything could happen with the remaining quarterbacks on the board.
Tua Tagovailoa out of Alabama could go anywhere in the top-10, Oregon’s Justin Herbert is a physical specimen who projects to go in the first round. Then we have quarterbacks like Utah State’s Jordan Love and Georgia’s Jake Fromm, who could potentially shoot up draft boards with a solid combine workout.
The Colts lucked out when they transitioned from one Hall of Fame quarterback in Peyton Manning to another Pro Bowl QB in Andrew Luck.
History has a funny way of repeating itself. We could see a similar scenario play out if the Colts go after one of these young quarterbacks in this year’s draft.
