3 reasons the Jets signing CB Logan Ryan would be a perfect addition

Maximize Salary Cap Spending

The point of having salary cap spending room is to actually use to bring in new talent and to keep impactful players from leaving in free agency. It’s especially important for a team like the New York Jets seeking to produce a winning record after failing to do so in 2019.

The Jets finished with a disappointing 7-9 record last season and with the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins clearly on the rise, simply standing pat and expecting development to occur from key players isn’t enough.

Let’s not forget, the New England Patriots appear to be at its most vulnerable state they’ve been in for a long time. This is the time for the Jets to try to finish higher in the AFC East standings than they’ve become accustomed to achieving.

A prime example of making the most of available resources is to sign a veteran like Logan Ryan that provides an immediate and needed impact. A team that went to the AFC Championship Game relied on him to play a key role for a reason.
