1. Talent Level Drop Off

One thing is for certain, and that is the fact that Miami needs a quarterback. If you’re looking at finding your potential suitor in this draft, the quality you will find after Tua drops off just as fast as the concerns start to rise.

Oregon’s Justin Herbert and Utah State’s Jordan Love are regarded as the next best quarterbacks on the board, but both come with their share of concerns as well. Some analysts have viewed them as second round talent, though with the importance of the quarterback position, both have been penciled into the top 10-15 draft spots.

Passing on Tua would ultimately mean they want to test their luck with the stable of quarterbacks coming out of college in next years draft. That would mean Flores would have to wait another year to have his guy working on and learning his system. They need to find their quarterback of the future as soon as possible so they can focus on surrounding him with talented players and continue this rebuild.

That’s why Miami shouldn’t over think it when they are on the clock at No. 5 overall. Their search starts and ends with former Alabama sensation Tua Tagovailoa.
