Eno Benjamin
When taking a look at the running backs available in this year’s draft, the running back class is deeper than people are giving it credit for. Therefore, if the Buccaneers decide to wait for a running back in the mid-to-late rounds, they’ll still have a choice of some decent options.
Among the mid-to-late round options, it’s hard to find one that fits Bruce Arians’ offense more than Eno Benjamin. Benjamin spent his three seasons of college football at Arizona State, starting in two of his seasons.
Altogether, in his two seasons as the starter, Benjamin totaled 3,335 yards from scrimmage and found the end zone 30 times. In addition to rushing for 1,000 yards twice in his collegiate career, Benjamin proved he can be a receiving threat, catching 82 passes for 625 yards in three years.
Considering the type of player that Jones is, the Buccaneers are likely searching for a running back that can add another dimension to their passing game. The junior out of Arizona State is more than capable of hauling in passes, giving Tampa Bay a viable target later in the draft.
