2. Giants’ Offense Was Horrendous

There was high hopes for the Giants before the start of the 2020 season. The offense was finally going to be healthy, they added talent on defense, and Daniel Jones was considered as a potential second-year breakout candidate.

With an 0-3 record to start the season, it’s clear the Giants still have a ways to go, but injuries have played a key role. Losing an elite running back like Saquon Barkley to a season-ending injury certainly didn’t help New York, but even then, their lack of execution has been inexcusable.

Going up against and undermanned 49ers defense and receiving only 231 total yards of offense was bad enough. Let’s not forget, New York not only failed to ever find the end-zone in this game — they failed to even move the ball upfield enough to reach the red-zone.

The Giants will have to turn things around when they face lesser defenses. It’s been tough so far in terms of matchups between the Steelers, Bears, and 49ers, then agains the Rams next week.
