1. The 49ers Can Stay Afloat

It’s almost easier to list off the players that aren’t currently sidelined due to injury for the 49ers than to name the ones that are. Despite having to fully embrace the ‘next man up’ mentality, San Francisco has gotten the job done.

Even with a backup quarterback leading an offense that is without its two best running backs, an elite tight end, and a big-play receiving threat, the 49ers completely outclassed the Giants. San Francisco’s offense maintained a steady output while New York never found the end-zone.

The level of impact the 49ers’ defense displayed was quite impressive when considering how undermanned they are at key spots. The offense will get healthy, so if the defense can sustain this, don’t count out San Francisco.

It’s going to be difficult for the 49ers to be able to pull off repeating as NFC West champions with how well the Seahawks are playing. However, San Francisco is capable of staying afloat en route to a Wild Card spot.
