2. The Broncos Could Be in Trouble

The Broncos managed to add plenty of intriguing young offensive weapons to surround second-year quarterback Drew Lock with in the offense. However, Denver will now be without Lock for potentially 2-to-6 weeks due to an AC sprain.

The addition of Lock to the injury report is just the latest crucial piece to be added to the list. Courtland Sutton tried to play through his shoulder injury that caused him to miss the Broncos’ season opener, but ended up being sidelined due to a knee injury/cramping.

Entering the Broncos’ matchup with the Steelers, Denver knew they’d be without A.J. Bouye, Mark Barron, and Phillip Lindsay. Additionally, the team experienced key opt-outs before the season and lost Von Miller to a season-ending torn ACL injury.

It won’t be easy for the Broncos to get by without their key players. However, it will be especially troubling if Lock ends up having to miss a few games due to injury. That’s concerning when considering Denver is already off to an 0-2 start to the season.
