Jets Are On Their Way To Trevor Lawrence

It has been a rough start to the season for the Jets and it doesn’t look like things are going to change anytime soon. Whether New York was on offense or defense, they consistently underachieved against the Cardinals.

The Jets’ defense showed concerning lack of execution— allowing 30 points on the board and 496 total yards of offense. There was little resistance against the Cardinals’ offense and it didn’t give New York a real chance to pull out a win.

While the Jets’ defense underachieved, their offense was very underwhelming, too. The team played with a risk-averse style and it resulted in one genuinely impressive drive in the whole game.

Not having Sam Darnold in the lineup is certainly less than ideal for the Jets. However, their issues go far beyond not having their regular-starting quarterback as the team is clearly in a rebuild.
