2. Kyler Murray Had Ups & Downs
It has been a very strong start to the 2020 season for Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. However, their first shortcoming came against a Lions team in desperate need of getting their first win.
Murray finished his performance after completing 23-of-35 (65.7%) pass attempts resulting in 270 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. To be fair, he did also add five carries, 29 yards, and one touchdown in the ground-game.
The interceptions Murray threw in this game came against zone coverage and appeared to be errors in his judgment. It’s clear he still has some strides to make in his development as a passer.
Expecting perfection from any second-year quarterback is naturally going to lead to some disappointment at times. However, expect Murray to learn from his performance against the Lions and clean up some of the decision making mistakes he had.
