1. Chiefs Continue To Find Ways To Win

The makings of a great team are evident when going up against challenging matchups or adverse situations. For the Chiefs, their offense was slowed down by a tough Patriots defense, but that didn’t stop them from winning.

Instead of needing the offense to dominate, the Chiefs used an impressive outing on defense to gain an advantage. Kansas City bullied backup quarterbacks instead of getting caught by surprise.

After the Patriots put together a 75-yard scoring drive late in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs had a 13-10 lead. Kansas City led a touchdown drive of their own to extend their lead to 19-10 with 8:57 left to play. It put an underwhelming New England offense in a tough spot.

It was then up to the defense to prevent the Patriots’ offense from reaching the end-zone and hold the lead. The Chiefs’ defense then immediately recorded a pick-six and then recorded another interception the following drive.

All the Chiefs’ offense had to do was run out the clock due to the help they received from their defense. Kansas City’s defense wasn’t done though. They forced the Patriots to turn it over on downs on their final possession to seal the win.
