Washington Needs To Use Antonio Gibson More

If there was one bright spot for Washington on the offensive side of the football, it would be the performance of first-year starting running back Antonio Gibson.

Gibson ended up carrying the football nine times for 49 yards and a touchdown against the Browns. Those numbers average out to 5.7 yards per carry. He also caught three passes for 11 yards.

Washington doesn’t have many playmakers offensively. Gibson is one of the few players who can make a big play whenever he touches the football. Rivera and company need to get the football in his hands more often.

Even though Gibson isn’t a household name, he is a very talented back. Dwayne Haskins needs some pressure taken off of his arm and giving the football more to Gibson on the ground could accomplish that goal.
