Tony Pollard
Receiving great contributions from Ezekiel Elliott has become an expectation since he entered the NFL and hit the ground running. However, keep an eye on his backfield partner in this matchup.
When the Cowboys managed to defeat the Rams 44-21 in 2019, a critical factor was the contributions Tony Pollard managed to provide as a complement to Elliott. For reference, Pollard ended with 12 carries, 131 yards, and 2 touchdowns in the ground game.
It’s one thing to go out and have a big game as a backup running back. It’s another to average 10.9 yards per carry and exceed 130 yards rushing when the star running back also produced 160 all-purpose yards of his own with a pair of touchdowns, too.
The Cowboys’ backfield simply punished the Rams in their last matchup. If Pollard can manage to have another successful display, it’s very difficult to envision Dallas’ offense not producing enough to get a win.
