4 major X-Factors to watch from the Cowboys vs. Rams matchup in Week 1

After making the addition of CeeDee Lamb in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Cowboys have become quite a high-powered offense. It’s going to be difficult for any team to match up with Dallas this season.

For the Rams, having Jalen Ramsey be responsible to attempt to shut down Amari Cooper sounds great in theory. However, Los Angeles is going to have to account for both Michael Gallup and Lamb in the passing game on top of having to keep the running game in check.

Not being one of the focal points of the Rams’ defensive game-planning could help Lamb to put together an explosive performance in his NFL debut. Especially when considering Los Angeles already needs to focus on Dallas’ backfield, who accounted for over 300 all-purpose yards and 3 touchdowns in their matchup last season.

If Lamb does end up having a great performance for the Cowboys, the Rams may need to put up a substantial number of points on the other end to be able to keep pace. That’s going to be a theme for a lot of teams that face Dallas this season.
