Darius Slay
Darius Slay came to the Philadelphia Eagles to be that shutdown corner they’ve lacked for years. Against the Washington Redskins, he did his job but the Rams’ receivers are on another level.
Many want Slay on the opposition’s best receiver but with the Rams, Slay will have to be everywhere. Between Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp, the matchups for Slay will not be easy.
Last week against the Dallas Cowboys, Jared Goff passed for 275 yards while completing 64.5 percent of his passes. But the Rams also didn’t need to abandon the run. The Rams rushed the ball 40 times while Goff attempted 31 passes.
Slay will earn his money Sunday while going head-to-head against the likes of Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp who combined for 10 receptions for 145 yards on 13 targets. If the front seven of the Eagles can stop the run, then the play of Slay will be important as the Rams will look to pass more.
