1. Allow Fewer Than 20 Points
The 49ers’ offense is expected to be better this season but their defense is still the better unit. In 2019, San Francisco allowed less than 20 points in eight games. This included four games where they held opponents to single digits. They will get off to a hot start against the Cardinals.
San Francisco got of to a good start defensive last season. They allowed 17 points in each of the first two games and 20 in the third. Following their early bye week, the 49ers allowed just 10 total points over the next three weeks.
The Cardinals will feature a new-look offense. This will be Hopkins’ first game in Arizona while Kenyan Drake will take over as the premier back. It will take some time to adjust to the new additions and offensive scheme.
This is a game that the 49ers should win with ease. If they hold Arizona in check offensively, then they will run away early. To make a prediction, this could be a 31-17 win in favor of the 49ers.
