Dante Pettis, Wide Receiver

On the offensive side of the football, there is one player that most 49ers’ fans will know belongs on this list. That player would be wide receiver Dante Pettis.

Pettis is heading into his third NFL season, but has yet to show the playmaking potential that made him the No. 44 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Last season, he caught just 11 passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games.

Looking ahead to the 2020 season, Pettis is going to be asked to fill a larger role. Emmanuel Sanders did not re-sign with the 49ers this offseason and instead chose to leave town for the New Orleans Saints. Pettis will play as the team’s No. 3 or No. 4 wideout behind Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and possibly Kendrick Bourne.

San Francisco should be excited to see what Pettis can provide this season. He has been working hard and is ready to step up. Pettis will come through with a much bigger season and will be an impact player for the offense.
