3. Throws for 4,000 Yards & 30 TDs
Jimmy Garoppolo was right on the fringe of these numbers a season ago as he led the 49ers to 29.9 points per game, which was second in the NFL. He finished with 3,978 yards and 27 touchdowns. In 2020, Garoppolo will up both of those numbers to reach the milestones.
The 49ers have one of the top two tight ends in the game in George Kittle. Debo Samuel showed promise in becoming a No. 1 receiver and Brandon Aiyuk was added in the draft. San Francisco also got Garoppolo more protection as they added left tackle Trent Williams in a trade with Washington. There will be plenty of weapons for Garoppolo to work with and that means he will put up some big numbers.
San Francisco’s offense was one of the best in the league in 2019. In the postseason, they went away from Garoppolo because their run game could not be stopped. This year, Garoppolo will emerge as the best option with the football.
