2. Throws Fewer Than 10 Interceptions
Jimmy Garoppolo will be throwing the ball more in 2020 which could make one think that he will throw more interceptions. In 2019, Garoppolo finished with 13 interceptions in the regular season and three in the postseason. In 2020, he could keep the picks in single digits.
In 2017, Garoppolo started six games for the Niners and threw five interceptions. He threw three in three games in 2018 before suffering an ACL injury. This has been an issue during his time in San Francisco. The 2019 season was the first where Garoppolo played all 16 games. In 2020, he could take a big step forward in cutting down his turnovers.
If Garoppolo cuts down on the interceptions, this means that the Niners’ offense will be even more dangerous. They could be in for another Super Bowl run if all goes right.
