4. Julio Jones Turns Back The Clock
The Buccaneers have some very talented pass catchers on their roster. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are Tom Brady’s go-to weapons and they have solid depth behind them. Russell Gage Jr. was a solid free agent pickup, but one player who has not provided as big of an impact as the team has hoped was Julio Jones.
Jones has been derailed by injuries in recent seasons and this year was no different. He appeared in only 10 games, catching 24 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns. Looking like he is on his final legs, Jones will pop off for one more big performance.
Against a banged-up Cowboys’ secondary, Jones will find some room to operate as attention is given to Evans and Godwin. He will set a season-high in receptions and yardage, catching a touchdown in the process.
3. Running Back Duo Runs Wild
The Cowboys have been able to overcome some of Prescott’s shortcomings this season in large part due to the great running back duo that they have. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard have been excellent this season, keeping the offense on track.
Elliott remains the starter, but this is Pollard’s backfield. He has been more productive with fewer touches, offering much more explosiveness with the ball in his hands. Elliott’s explosiveness looks sapped as he averaged 3.8 yards per carry this season compared to 5.2 by Pollard.
Against the Buccaneers, both will find some success. Each will find the end zone at least once and they will combine for at least 150 yards on the ground.
