Cardinals Come Up Short After 4th Quarter Surge
It may take Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins a while to get on the same page. However, expect that connection to catch fire by the fourth quarter. Hopkins will be a huge factor in this offense, and we will get a glimpse of the Cardinals’ potential right around the fourth quarter.
This Cardinals offense has a lot of firepower and Kyler Murray is great at improvisation. While the 49ers’ defensive line has a lot of talent, Murray can avoid the pass rush and make big plays downfield. Murray was great in the fourth quarter last season, so they might get down early, but they’re gonna surge late.
With Hopkins in the No. 1 wide receiver role, Murray will be even better in clutch time this season. However, that may not be enough. The 49ers’ offense is built to control the clock. That makes it difficult to come from behind against them, unless you’re Patrick Mahomes, of course.
In the end, the 49ers will be able to hold off the Cardinals with their strong running game. The outcome won’t be decided until it comes down the wire because of a late surge from Arizona, but San Francisco will be able to hold them off.
