Kansas City Chiefs’ Defensive Front Will Have 4 Sacks
Defensive pressure will play a huge role in this game. Last week against the Raiders, the Chiefs allowed 3 sacks and 5 quarterback hits. The offensive line played one of their worse games of the season. The Bills on the other hand, didn’t look much better against the Titans. Although the Titans only had one sack, they were all over Josh Allen.
In this matchup, I see the Chiefs defensive line stepping up and making a couple big plays. Josh Allen is mobile and is not afraid to lower his shoulder when he runs. But, as seen in the Tennessee game, if he can’t establish his rhythm early, he makes poor decisions with the football. Chris Jones only has 3.5 sacks this year. I know he missed one game due to injury, but he got the big contract in the offseason and needs to start to producing like the million dollar man that he is.
I think Jones and Frank Clark will have big games. Also, keep in mind that Chiefs defensive coordinator, Steve Spagnuolo, is not afraid to bring the blitz. I think that the Chiefs will bring the heat after breaking down the film of the Titans-Bills game to pressure Allen into some poor decisions.
Josh Allen has been sacked 10 times on the early season. His mobility helps him escape from the pocket, but his offensive line has done a solid job thus far. The Chiefs are going to be successful in their pass rush and sack Allen 4 times. Chris Jones will record 2, Frank Clark will get 1 and Tyrann Mathieu will get 1.
