Miami can take solace that they do not need to win in order for this season to be considered successful. In fact, this team needs several top end draft picks to fill holes and continue moving the rebuild in the right direction.

The best long-term benefit for this franchise is to end up with a better draft pick rather than win a few games, knowing they won’t make the playoffs.

San Francisco one the other hand still has a chance but cannot afford to lose any more games against teams they should beat.

The 49ers already have an uphill battle to try and compete in the NFC West and some of their most important games are yet to come. San Francisco got Miami at the right time and will have a chance to rebound and go above .500.
