5. Washington Redskins
There is hope in Washington D.C. Well, not for 2020 but for the upcoming years. Ron Rivera has come in and led the complete, long time coming overhaul of the franchise. They drafted Chase Young to go on an already stacked defensive line. On the offensive side of the ball, the team needs help.
Dwayne Haskins could use another weapon. Derrius Guice is looking to stay healthy for a complete season. Terry McLaurin has become a household name and Steven Sims and Kelvin Harmon will take a huge step in year two. The only thing missing is a tight end.
This NFL season depends on the development of Haskins. It is unfair to judge a quarterback after such a short amount of time. What would help the young quarterback evolve is a pass catching tight end. Remember the success Washington saw in 2015 with Kirk Cousins and Jordan Reed? That is what they need to recreate.
The Redskins could have a trade partner in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They currently have three solid tight ends after adding Rob Gronkowski. O.J. Howard’s name has been thrown around in trade rumors. The Redskins could also opt for Cameron Brate. Either way, adding a security blanket at tight end would help the offense tremendously.
