Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is having an incredible season, and he is on pace to accomplish a feat that no other quarterback has done in almost 30 years.

Jackson currently leads all NFL signal-callers in both completion percentage (71.5 percent) and rushing yards (440). Should that hold for the rest of the year, Jackson would become the first quarterback since San Francisco 49ers legend Steve Young in 1994 to pace the league in both categories (h/t NFL on CBS).

Most recently, Jackson went 21-for-26 (80.8 percent) with 187 yards while carrying the ball 10 times for 60 yards in a blowout win over the Seattle Seahawks last weekend.

On the season overall, Jackson has thrown for 1,954 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions while posting a passer rating of 100.8. He has also punched in five rushing scores while averaging 5.2 yards per tote.

Jackson is also just 52 rushing yards away from passing Randall Cunningham for fourth on the all-time quarterback rushing list. Only Michael Vick, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson are ahead of Cunningham, and barring injury, Jackson will almost surely surpass all of them at some point.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Louisville, was selected by the Ravens with the 32nd overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He supplanted Joe Flacco as Baltimore’s starting quarterback midway through his rookie campaign and has been under center ever since, making a couple of trips to the Pro Bowl and earning a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Most notably, Jackson took home the MVP award in 2019 after totaling 3,127 yards, 36 touchdowns and six picks while completing 66.1 percent of his throws and registering a passer rating of 113.3. In addition, he racked up 1,206 yards and seven scores on the ground while logging a robust 6.9 yards per carry.

Lamar Jackson may not be the same rusher he was several years ago, but he is still one of the top dual threats in the game and has the Ravens’ offense humming over the first half of the season.

Baltimore is 7-2 and will take on the Cleveland Browns this Sunday.
