The Baltimore Ravens offense is poised for a significant boost in the upcoming AFC Championship Game this Sunday.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, tight end Mark Andrews, who has been recovering from a fibula and ankle injury, came very close to making a return in the previous Divisional Round and is now on track to rejoin the team this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“The target was always the AFC title game. It was just really on Baltimore to get there. They are now there. They are one of these final four teams. Mark Andrews is expected to play, to make his dramatic comeback, barring a setback.”

Andrews sustained a cracked fibula and ankle ligament damage during Week 11 in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals on November 16th. Following surgery, he has been diligently working towards a comeback throughout the postseason.

Before his injury, Andrews had an impressive season, recording 45 receptions for 544 yards and scoring six touchdowns in just 10 games.

During his absence, second-year tight end Isaiah Likely has stepped up, making a significant impact with six touchdowns in seven games, including one in Baltimore’s recent playoff victory over the Houston Texans.

The Ravens are gearing up to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, which is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on Sunday and will be televised on CBS. This potential return of Mark Andrews is sure to add an extra dimension to the Ravens’ offensive arsenal as they aim for victory.
