The Cleveland Browns are going to be one team to keep a very close eye on this offseason. With the question marks surrounding Baker Mayfield, they could consider making a move to upgrade the quarterback position. While it’s very unlikely to happen, the Browns have been mentioned as a potential trade suitor for Aaron Rodgers if the Green Bay Packers end up making him available at any point.

CBS Sports took a look at potential landing spot for Rodgers if the Packers and him do part ways. After the season they have had, it isn’t extremely likely, but the Browns should be all about it if Green Bay is open to a move. The Browns were mentioned on the list as possible landing spots.

Can you imagine the Browns being able to pull off a big-time deal to acquire Rodgers? The city of Cleveland would go crazy. Rodgers would also immediately make the Browns a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Rodgers is coming off of another huge season for the Packers. He is likely headed towards his second straight MVP award. Green Bay is also considered one of the top Super Bowl contenders left in the playoffs.

Throughout the course of the 2021 season, Rodgers completed 68.9 percent of his pass attempts for 4,115 yards, 37 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. He also picked up 101 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Those numbers show just how good Rodgers still is even at 38 years of age.

Acquiring Rodgers would not come cheap for the Browns. If the option is even on the table, it would take multiple first-round picks and probably a talented player or two. However, the price tag would be worth the move.

While all of this is likely just a pipe dream for the Browns, it is certainly interesting to see them listed as a potential landing spot. Rodgers and the Packers seem to have patched their issues up, but who knows what the future holds.

Expect to see Cleveland look to put together an aggressive offseason. They want to get back into contention and some moves need to be made. Aaron Rodgers may not end up being one of them, but it’s certainly something to keep in mind.
