Colts: 3 early breakout candidates for Indianapolis in 2020

Rock Ya-Sin, Cornerback

First up, the Colts are very high on second-year cornerback Rock Ya-Sin. He was drafted with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and showed some flashes of talent in his first year. However, the Colts need a big leap forward from him in year two.

During the 2019 season, Ya-Sin racked up 62 total tackles to go along with one fumble recovery, one interception, and five defended passes. There are obvious flaws in his game and he needs to get better from a coverage perspective, but he has all the raw potential in the world.

Ya-Sin will likely be a starter this season and will have a great veteran presence to learn from in new cornerback Xavier Rhodes.

Indianapolis has had a weak secondary for years. But, if they can get Ya-Sin to take the next step, they should be just fine for the 2020 season.
