The Colts’ offensive line surrenders fewer than 18 sacks
It’s evident that the Colts possess one of — if not — the best offensive line groups in the entire NFL. After re-signing Anthony Castonzo, there’s no reason to believe that Indianapolis won’t have one of the best groups again in the upcoming season.
Besides Castonzo, the Colts have Quenton Nelson, Ryan Kelly, Mark Glowinski, and Braden Smith. Last season, that same group allowed a combined total of 32 sacks (10th fewest in the NFL). Just the season prior, Indianapolis’ stout offensive line surrendered a mere 18 sacks, which was the fewest in the NFL.
In his last few seasons with the Chargers, playing behind a formidable offensive line is something that Rivers has gotten accustomed to. With that in mind, the Colts’ offensive line could possibly give up fewer than 18 sacks. It would be the first time since 2014 that a team conceded 17 or fewer sacks.
