Michael Pittman Jr. leads the team in receiving touchdowns
One of the many reasons why Rivers likely chose the Colts as his next destination is partly due to the outstanding arsenal of weapons he’ll have at his disposal. Even before the 2020 NFL Draft, Indianapolis’ offense featured the likes of T.Y. Hilton, Parris Campbell, Zach Pascal, Jack Doyle, Mack, and Hines.
But early in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Colts would add Michael Pittman Jr. to the team’s diverse receiving corps. In his final season at USC in 2019, Pittman notched 101 catches for 1,275 yards and 11 touchdowns. Standing at 6-foot-4, nearly 225 pounds, Pittman excels at outleaping defenders and snagging the ball with his surefire mitts.
Even though rookies could have a hard time adjusting to their new teams due to the implications of COVID-19 this offseason, Pittman should still carve out a decent-sized role with the Colts in 2020. Provided that, Pittman will finish as Indianapolis’ leading wide receiver when it comes to touchdowns.
