3 dream trade targets for the Dallas Cowboys in 2020

Cameron Brate

For just the second time since 2004, the Cowboys are going to have a starting tight end not named Jason Witten in their offense. While Witten signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, Blake Jarwin will get the first crack at replacing the All-Pro tight end.

Jarwin is an unproven commodity thus far, with just 58 receptions, 672 yards, and six touchdowns to his name in his first three seasons. If the Cowboys believe they can make an upgrade over Jarwin, they should give a call to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Cameron Brate.

Earlier this offseason, the Buccaneers were able to sign Tom Brady and Brady was able to lure Rob Gronkowski out of retirement to join him in Florida. Given the addition of Gronkowski, Tampa Bay now fields a tight end group that features Brate, Gronkowski, and O.J. Howard. Adding Brate to the Cowboys’ offense would give Prescott yet another reliable weapon in the passing game.
