The Buffalo Bills could use another weapon in their aerial attack, and Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins could be available for the taking.
Adam Zientek of A to Z Sports names the Bills as a potential landing spot for Hopkins, who is currently playing for a struggling Titans team that just traded safety Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Tennessee is just 2-4 and seems primed to enter rebuilding mode this offseason, so it’s entirely possible that the club could move Hopkins ahead of the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline.
Hopkins signed a two-year deal with the Titans back in July. He has been moderately productive for the club over his first six games, logging 27 catches for 376 yards. However, he has been held without a touchdown, and you would have to imagine he would be happier on a contending team.
While the Bills may not be able to supply Hopkins with the targets he is receiving in Tennessee, they would certainly provide him with him with a greater chance of winning a Super Bowl, and with Hopkins being 31 years old, that is surely one of his primary goals at this point.
Buffalo currently employs Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis in its receiving corps, but beyond those two, Josh Allen is pretty short on weaponry. Hopkins could step in and give Allen another very dependable target and would suddenly elevate the Bills’ passing game to one of the best in football.
Of course, Hopkins is most known for his seven-year run with the Houston Texans, where he made four Pro Bowls and earned three First-Team All-Pro selections between 2013 and 2019.
The Texans then traded him to the Arizona Cardinals in 2020, where he would go on to spend three seasons. DeAndre Hopkins was a major disappointment for the Cardinals and was ultimately released by the club last May before linking up with the Titans.
Buffalo is 4-3 on the season and will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.
