5. Robby Anderson, Carolina Panthers
Robby Anderson signed an offseason contract with the Panthers. This was good news for the receiver since he was able to get away from the New York Jets and get a chance to play for his college coach in Matt Rhule. Christian McCaffrey entered the season as the only trustworthy fantasy football player in Carolina but Anderson might be next.
Carolina dropped their opener to the Las Vegas Raiders but they were able to score 30 points. Anderson led the offense with six catches for 115 yards, highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown catch. This performance showed off all the skills that Anderson possesses.
Anderson is a deep ball threat who can take the top off a defense. He has a chance to thrive in Carolina because of his ability and bond with his head coach.
Anderson might have been drafted in some leagues but there was not much hype surrounding him entering the season. D.J. Moore was viewed as the team’s No. 1 receiver but Anderson could turn into Teddy Bridgewater’s favorite target.
