Quarterbacks
It may come as a surprise to some, but gone are the days of selecting Aaron Rodgers as one of the first five or even 10 QBs.
Rodgers, for as good as he is, isn’t up to snuff when it comes to an elite fantasy football quarterback. In 2019, according to FantasyPros, Rodgers had the 10th-most fantasy points, with 282.38 points, for an average of 17.65 points per game.
After posting a career-high 40 touchdowns in 2016, Rodgers has failed to reach the 30-touchdown threshold in any season since. With his lack of weapons at receiver and tight end, it’s hard to regard Rodgers as a prime target in fantasy.
The Packers seem to slowly be evolving to a run-first offense with the emergence of Aaron Jones. Rodgers should be a mid-round pick at the best and should be paired with a younger QB on the rise that could overtake as a QB1 in fantasy football.
As for Jordan Love, he isn’t the guy yet. Not only is he not ready but Rodgers will be the tarter until he’s out. Unless something drastic changes mid-season, Love shouldn’t be considered in any league.
