WRs to start in Week 7

Bengals’ Tyler Boyd (vs. Browns): Some may be concerned with Tyler Boyd after he finished as the No. 3 wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. However, going back to his days at LSU, it’s well-known that Joe Burrow loves to target his slot receiver, which is why Boyd is still the leading pass-catcher for the Bengals this season.

When Cincinnati last faced the Cleveland Browns in Week 2, Boyd recorded 20.2 fantasy points. Luckily for him, he’ll get a chance to play them again in Week 7, with the Browns giving up 13 yards per reception and 45.3 fantasy points per game to WRs (third-most in NFL).

Washington’s Terry McLaurin (vs. Cowboys): It has been two weeks since the Washington Football Team elected to bench Dwayne Haskins in favor of Kyle Allen. While he still isn’t in an ideal situation, Terry McLaurin has remained as a consistent weapon for Washington, totaling 19 targets in the two games with Allen.

And despite his struggles so far with Allen, he is poised to have more success in Week 7 versus the porous secondary of the Dallas Cowboys. Up to this point, Dallas’ defense has surrendered a whopping 15.1 yards per reception and 11 receiving touchdowns to WRs (second-most in NFL).

Steelers’ Chase Claypool (vs. Titans): In recent weeks, the Steelers have made a concerted effort to get rookie Chase Claypool more involved in the offense. His increase has paid dividends, making him a startable option in fantasy football moving forward.

His ability to create chunk plays down the field is vital to Pittsburgh’s offensive success and he should have another stellar performance against the Titans. Tennessee’s shorthanded secondary is conceding a success rate of 64 percent (worst in NFL) and 45.1 fantasy points per game to WRs, which is the fourth-most in the NFL.

Other WRs to consider in Week 7: Cardinals’ Christian Kirk (vs. Seahawks), Chargers’ Mike Williams (vs. Jaguars), Bengals’ Tee Higgins (vs. Browns), Eagles’ Travis Fulgham (vs. Giants)

WRs to sit in Week 7

Texans’ Brandin Cooks (vs. Packers): In the past two weeks, Brandin Cooks has emerged as a viable starter in fantasy football. The big-play wideout has notched 75.7 fantasy points so far this season, with 51.9 of them coming in the last two games for the Houston Texans.

Still, it’s hard to trust Cooks remaining a consistent option for the Texans with Will Fuller being the No. 1 target for Deshaun Watson and he faces a motivated Packers defense in Week 7. Green Bay’s pass defense has held opposing WRs to 675 receiving yards (best in NFL) and 32.46 fantasy points per game (seventh-best in NFL).
