2. A.J. Dillon Scores Double-Digit Touchdowns
A.J. Dillon was the second surprise pick by the Packers in April’s draft. As of now, Aaron Jones has just one year left on his rookie deal and an extension has not been worked out. Looking to the 2020 season, Green Bay could feature both backs and have quite the duo.
Jones thrived in his first season in LaFleur’s offense. He led the NFL with 16 touchdowns and turned in his first 1,000 yard campaign. Dillon put up some monstrous seasons at Boston College. He rushed for 1,000 yards three times including two seasons with at least 1,589 yards.
Most impressive of all, Dillon scored 38 touchdowns over three years. He finished with double-digit touchdowns in every season and that could continue in the NFL.
Dillon is going to get touches. It is unknown whether Jones will sign an extension or if Dillon is the running back of the future. Either way, the Boston College back is going to be a factor. He was not much of a receiver in college but this is something that Dillon could learn at the next level.
When combining rushing and receiving touchdowns, it would not be surprising to see Dillon in the end zone 10 or more times.
