A few weeks ago, Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers looked like upstart contenders and the Minnesota Vikings appeared dead in the water.

How things have changed.

After a 2-1 start, the Packers have lost three straight games to fall to 2-4 as their playoff hopes hang in the balance. Meanwhile, the Vikings have won three of their last four contests after beginning the season 0-3 and are now 3-4.

Green Bay will host Minnesota on Sunday afternoon in a pivotal NFC North matchup, and Love provided his thoughts on the matchup this week.

“I haven’t really faced a defense like Minnesota, the way they run it. … It’s about getting the ball to our playmakers and letting them make plays, make people miss,” Love said, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

That is exactly what the Packers haven’t been doing in their losing streak.

Green Bay has scored a grand total of 50 points over its last three contests, as Love has struggled mightily. After throwing seven touchdowns and one interception over his first three games, Love has totaled three touchdowns and six picks during this skid. He has also thrown game-ending interceptions each of the last two weeks.

On the season overall, Love has registered 1,263 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven picks while completing 57.5 percent of his throws and posting a passer rating of 79.4.

The 24-year-old is in his first season as the Packers’ full-time starter under center after the departure of Aaron Rodgers, who had been taking snaps for Green Bay since 2008.

Jordan Love was originally selected by the Packers with the 26th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft and was expected to be Rodgers’ successor, but at this point, the youngster is fighting for his 2024 status.
