Receivers Must Stay Healthy

Last year, the Rams took a massive blow when Cooper Kupp went down with injury. He was the primary receiver for the Rams during their Super Bowl run and is a key safety valve for Jared Goff. It certainly didn’t help Los Angeles to lose Brandin Cooks to injury either.

Going into this season, Kupp is healthy, Woods is healthy, and Josh Reynolds is a promising third option. The Rams’ passing attack is at its best when the ball is being spread around to multiple options. Sean McVay is very creative when drawing plays that get his receivers open.

When Kupp and Woods are both healthy they are one of the best duos in the NFL. Kupp is fantastic at getting open. He is quick, sure-handed, and has a superb understanding of defensive schemes. Meanwhile, Robert Woods isn’t elite an any particular area, but is strong in each element that goes into the makings of a consistent receiver.

When these players are healthy, the Rams’ offense can be dominant. While it’s intriguing they will be ready to go for the upcoming season, it’s crucial they can stay on the field consistently throughout 2020. If they can, Goff will have plenty of receiving threats within the offense to be successful.
