Important NFL offseason dates for the Steelers in February

The NFL offseason is about to be running on overdrive now that the Super Bowl has come and gone. After missing the playoffs in 2019, the Pittsburgh Steelers know that they need to add some pieces this offseason. Mike Tomlin and company were competitive even without Ben Roethlisberger, which was impressive in and of itself.

Looking ahead at the month of February, there are some very important dates for the Steelers to take note of. Fans should know what their team will be doing and when, so we have that information for you.

Let’s dive in and take a look at some of the most important February dates for the Steelers to begin the offseason.

Feb. 3

The waiver system begins for the 2020 NFL season.

Feb. 11

Beginning at 12:00 ET, the Steelers can sign CFL players whose contracts have expired. CFL players cannot be signed if their contracts have not expired.

Feb. 24–March 2

NFL Scouting Combine takes place in Indianapolis.

Feb. 25

The first day teams can designate Franchise or Transition players.
