No. 2: Leonard Fournette Should Be Even Better in 2018
Second-year running back Leonard Fournette should emerge as even more of a stud tailback in 2018.
Fournette averaged only 3.9 yards per carry in his rookie campaign. Despite playing in only 13 games, however, he still posted an impressive 1,040 yards on the ground and 1,342 yards from scrimmage. Despite Jacksonville playing in a warm and humid climate, this is a team that seems to have a January mentality.
The offensive line, led by stud veteran tackles Cam Robinson and Jeremy Parnell, excelled in the snow in a 19-7 win at Cleveland last November. Now, while the Browns went winless that season, the game was a litmus test for a Jaguars team that was anything but a sure thing at that point.
Going into the elements and physically owning an opponent is a feather in the cap of any warm-weather team. If Fournette can get his yards-per-carry average above 4.3, watch out for Jacksonville. The Jaguars averaged an NFL-best 141.4 rushing yards per game last season.
That should only improve.
