Start in all 16 games

The best ability for every position in the NFL is availability, especially when you play a seemingly expendable position like running back. Common sense says that if you can remain healthy, there’s a better chance of you succeeding on the field.

Earlier in his career, Bell was arguably the best running back in the NFL, but the only thing holding him back was his injury concerns. Throughout his five seasons with the Steelers, Bell was sidelined for 18 games due to injury.

In his first season with the Jets, Bell missed one game due to injury, which isn’t bad by any means. Still, for any player in the NFL, their goal should be to start in all 16 games in the regular season (it would be Bell’s second time starting in every game). The only way Bell should be content not starting in every game is if the Jets are able to rest players in the final week of the season.
