Josh Jacobs Surpasses 1,500 Yards From Scrimmage
This may not move the needle as much for some, as Josh Jacobs certainly turned in a good return on investment in his first season as a Raiders running back.
In 2019, Jacobs totaled more than 1,300-yards of total offense. To do so, he racked up 1,150-yards rushing and 166-yards receiving. As a result, Jacobs led all AFC West running backs in rushing yards. Not a bad debut.
For his sophomore season however, I believe Jacobs will get more involved in the passing game as Carr eyes those career highs we spoke about in the first bold prediction.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect Jacobs to double his passing game contributions, turning in more than 300-yards in receiving yards. Add this to a modest improvement in rushing, and we’re well on our way to 1,500-yards.
2,000-yards would be a more bold prediction, but I’m not ready to go that high just yet.
