5. Nico Collins, Michigan
Collins will be returning for his final season at Michigan. He was a non-factor as a freshman, but burst onto the scene in year two. Collins caught 38 passes for 632 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore.
This set the 6-foot-4 receiver up for a big junior year. Collins racked up 729 yards and seven touchdowns for Michigan last season. That left him with a difficult decision. After much consideration, Collins decided to return to Michigan for his senior season and put the NFL on hold. This was a smart decision since he has a chance to raise his draft stock.
Collins is a physical receiver with great versatility. His ball skills are unmatched because he uses his size well. Collins knows how to use his 6-foot-4, 222-pound frame to gain an edge over defensive backs. He is an outside receiver, but has found success at Michigan in the slot. Despite the high ceiling, Collins is not a finished product. He is not the fastest receiver out there and needs to shore up his footwork.
Coming back for his senior year gives Collins a chance to work on improving his game for the professional level. The Wolverines are expecting big things from Collins this season.
