The New England Patriots will play host to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 of the preseason on Thursday. Although the stakes may not be as high as the last time the two teams met, for the players, there’s still plenty on the line.

For undrafted rookies and journeymen veterans, the preseason provides an opportunity to showcase their skills and potentially extend their careers. Look no further than running back Ralph Webb: an undrafted rookie out of Vanderbilt who posted two touchdowns in New England’s preseason opener against Washington.
