New York Giants: 3 Takeaways From Week 6 Loss vs. Eagles

USA TODAY Sports

Saquon Barkley is the Best Player on This Team

We saw last night, that Saquon Barkley is in fact the best player on this Giants roster.

A player like Barkley, is a once in a generation type player. He is unbelievable, even on a team that lacks in certain areas.

The whole discussion on whether or not they “screwed” up by taking Barkley is overblown  to me. They absolutely made the right move, taking a guy you know can come in and be a leader and a phenomenal player.

Watching the catch and run that Barkley made last night, not many running backs in the NFL are capable of making that play. Here is the entirety of that play.

Like they said, good luck tackling this guy.

He’s beyond his years with his ability to be a dual-threat RB. Which puts him right in the discussion of being a top five RB in the NFL.

The Giants offense has been very lackluster so far, but Barkley is the lone, consistent bright spot for them. They need to continue feeding the hot hand, which is indeed Barkley.

Last night, Barkley came away with 229 yards from scrimmage. On the ground, he accumulated 130 yards on 13 carries, while adding 99 yards through the air.

With Barkley being on the same team as Odell Beckham, he is still the best player on the Giants.
